The Wine Club
10 Reasons to join the Weston Wine Club
“I only drink reds” – I once read an article on their health benefits…
“Don’t care what I drink, old chap” –I’m only after the alcohol.
“Not a rose, its so unfashionable” – For me drink is a fashion statement.
“Any white, so long as it’s really dry” – The sweet ones are always so passé…
“Only from top French names and vintage years” – I’ve got money to burn.
“It’s all a lot of nonsense” – I can’t be bothered…
“The cheap ones are as good as the others” – I haven’t tried the others.
“What’s wrong with Piat d’Or/Mateus Rose/Blue Nun” – Why change?
“Only rosés at the moment” – I read the wine column in my newspaper.
“What happened to Beaujolais Nouveau?”
The Wine Club will continue to meet at 8pm on the second Thursday of each month.
At each meeting a member presents wines according to a theme of their own, with or without food. Members are expected to indicate to the presenter when they will be unable to attend.
Further information may be obtained from Glyn Jones (01327 261265) or email glyngilljones@aol.com.
