Art Club Accouncement From Irene

“For the last couple of weeks at Weston Art Club, encouraged by picture references that Ros had sourced, we have been focusing on trees. Not the kind of trees you find in traditional landscape paintings, more the 'Gustav Klimt' kind of trees - colourful and abstracted. The resulting paintings are beautiful, we'll try to keep them together for a while, hopefully as an encouragement to be bold and at times a bit more experimental in our approach to our art!

Next Tuesday (2 December at 7pm) however we will be coming 'out of the woods' for another master class by guest tutor Chrissie Borland. Chrissie whose ability to enthuse and encourage us never seems to flag, is going to host a session on painting figures. This is not a traditional life drawing class but more a way of learning about perspective and how figures are grouped together. Apparently it involves a lot of painting and cutting out!

The cost for the two hour session will be the usual £5, including tea or coffee and if you do have paints and brushes please bring them.

Any queries please just give me a ring (01295 768104)”
